Farewell, Launch 2020.
Lancaster — Yesterday we were notified by the Pennsylvania Dept of Health that Lancaster County is heading towards the green phase of Governor Wolf’s plan to re-open Pennsylvania during the easing of COVID-19. With that we’re also stumbling through emails with the team at LAUNCH Music Conference to understand what’s happening going forward. We’ve come to the conclusion that LAUNCH 2020 will be (at least for us) non existent and all digital for 2020 because of COVID-19 but hopefully things will return to normal over time.
As we noted in April, LAUNCH has always and will be a staple for this company from the humbled beginnings in 2009 to what it is today, we’ve only missed a few of these events and try our hardest to continue the tradition brought on by Tyler’s brother Justin who played LAUNCH 2009 in Circus Circus but the green phase also brings the limit of large events 250+ being prohibited it just seems like the best move for us going forward to step back from the crowd and regroup for 2021.
We’ll be back, we promise you that. In the ten years we’ve had as a company we cherish every moment we have from our community and the people inside of it who make us who are are.
