We Are OH Update: May 20th 2013
Hey guys Tyler here.
Well today is the day! We’ve been holding back on leaking out any information what so ever about the next plans for We Are OH and we’re super glad to be announcing them today.
Hello China is back
Back in 2004 we wrote a movie called Hello China which was based off South Park but we lost the script and never finished production on the film but most recently Kyle and I have been busy working on the plans for Hello China II which will be happening! We’ll be illustrating and producing this movie into FOUR 30 minutes episodes that will air in spring 2014 with Pinhead Cartoons as the production company, we’ll most likely have them uploaded to Vimeo and YouTube.
Summer 2013 Plans
This summer is all about making the most of it and with that we’ll be working with more and more bands this summer to put out some cool stuff! We’re taking part in the 717 Festival which is downtown July 17th as with Warped Tour (as explained below) July 12th. As for what comes after June and July and into August and September well that is not only a mystery to you but to us also!
VANS Warped Tour 2013
As some of you have noticed we actually posted two warped tour dates on our Facebook and on our site about joining the Vans Warped Tour this summer and we’re stoked to say that we are on the Camden date! Myself and Kiki will be out and about in Camden promoting the company and what not so come check us out and see us!
10th Anniversary Events
So as we’re approaching the 10th anniversary of our company being founded we decided to have a small get together / party / concert set for October 19th 2013 at our office in Lancaster, PA. We’re super excited to be spending 10 years in business with some of our favorite friends and making new ones as we go.
The Future Of We Are OH
We’ve been discussing the future of the company a lot lately because as myself and half of the team are getting into our early 20s we have to think about the future and what we can make best for the company and everything in between so here it is.
- New office opening in Spring 2014 in downtown Lancaster.
- No more freebies for friends and bands (minus LUMA and Scouts Honor)
- Absolutely no more “fun and games” as a company. Strictly business!
- More jobs will be open for people to work at We Are OH and we’re re-branding the jobs to “Jobs at We Are OH”
- We’ll be partnering up with CI Records later this year
- LAUNCH 2014 plans will be setup later this year as with a booth and sponsorship to the event.
- Brand new weareoh.com launching October 10th TEN days before our 10th anniversary and will feature an entirely rebuilt website and links and cool stuff.
- PA Proud will be OFFICIALLY launching November 6th 2013.
- More podcast’s and video updates the 10th of every month starting June 10th.
- TONS of new stuff for summer/fall 2013 to be announced June 10th
And that is basically it. We promise we’ll update you more on everything else that comes into play in the next couple of months as with new employees that we’ll be welcoming to the team but other than that we’re done here
